The Pollution in the
Spiritual Atmosphere
The Ratio of Negativity
(ناری
تناسب) is directly proportional
to the nature and amount of sins which people commit, and at
the same time it is also directly proportional to the number
of jinn who also dwell in the realm of Nasoot. Why does the
pollution in the spiritual atmosphere have a significant
value in ones struggle on the divine path? These are
spiritual sciences. You will not find this knowledge in any
spiritual book, in any books of a’hadeeth or books of the
saints; this knowledge comes from His Holiness Gohar Shahi.
یہ وہ علم ہے جو نہ تو انجیل میں ہے، نہ ہی
قران میں ہے ، نہ توریت میں ہے اور نہ ہی کسی اور آسمانی کتاب
میں ہے۔ ہو سکتا ہے آپ کو برا لگے لیکن یہ تعلیم محمد رسول
اللہ
نے بھی بیان نہیں فرمائی۔یہ تعلیم صرف سیدنا گوھر شاہی نے عطا
فرمائی ہے۔
And what I am going to
say now is very important. According to a Hadith, the era
in which Imam Mehdi is supposed to appear, it is said that
the world will be covered with darkness, and there will be a
few lamps lit up in this world and those few lamps will be
at a considerable distance from each other. People who
interpret the Qur’an and Hadith, they think that this
darkness is reffered to physical and phenomenal darkness in
the world, and these lamps are referred to physical lamps,
this is however wrong. The physical darkness and physical
lamps have nothing to do with the advent of Imam Mehdi,
there has been darkness before Imam Mehdi’s advent and there
can be darkness after Imam Mehdi’s arrived, but it cannot
help us understand Imam Mehdi’s arrival. If we interpret
this Hadith under the guidance of His Holiness Gohar Shahi
and dig out the esoteric meaning of the Hadith said by the
Prophet (pbuh); darkness is referred to the darkness of the
hearts and hearts are referred to the enlightened hearts
(hence, there will be a few enlightened hearts).
The more there are
enlightened hearts in the world, the better the spiritual
atmosphere is, and the lesser the enlightened hearts are in
the world, the worse the spiritual atmosphere becomes. Now
let’s have a look at how the spiritual atmosphere effects on
our emaan and our struggle to purify and mortify ourselves.
We have seven faculties
(لطایف)
in our skeleton. 6 of them are dormant but the seventh (Latifa-e-Nafs)
is very much alive and its origin is Iblis (Satan). When
the body of Adam was created, Iblis spat on his naval point
and there was an iblisi germ in the saliva, and it formed
the Latifa-e-Nafs. So the seventh latifa is a germ that’s
from Iblis. The diet of the nafs is naar (negative energy).
This diet can be obtained from any food you consume. It has
a heating effect. Even in the air when you inhale oxygen, a
considerable amount of naar enters your body and it
strengthens your nafs. Every time you breathe you are giving
diet to your nafs, and on top of that, when you eat, because
all vegetables and fruits need sunlight before they’re
worthy of consumption (e.g. if flowers don’t gain sunlight,
they don’t have fragrance) similarly, fruits and vegetables,
if don’t obtain sunlight aren’t ripe, and due to the heat
obtained, naar is produced. Anything heated may earn
negative energy.
Now, one thing is very
important when there is too much negative energy in this
world our nafs becomes strong, hence makes us do bad
things.
Initially, the spiritual sciences were meant
to be for Kings, Presidents and sincere intellectual people,
and not for ignorant illiterate people. His Holiness Gohar
Shahi said, “If you want to keep your heart happy with God
and God happy with your heart, then keep your nafs unhappy.”
گر قلب کو شاد کیا تو نفس کو برباد کیا، گر نفس
کو شاد کیا تو قلب کو برباد کیا۔

If you seek God, keep
your nafs unhappy, like it or don’t like it, but this is
what spirituality is all about. And when your nafs is well
fed, you talk nonsense. When you’re hungry, you know your
value, and when you are well fed, you think about
unnecessary things. You may have noticed that when you have
eaten stomach-full, you suddenly change and begin to talk
and do nonsense.
Your progress is
directly dependent upon the effect and affect of this ratio.
Now, the problem is, how must we combat the pollution in the
atmosphere. In order to cut-down on pollution, one plants
trees, and the more trees you have the better the
atmosphere. Similarly, there are saints of God. If you want
to overcome the pollution in the spiritual atmosphere, (like
the trees release oxygen) saints are connected to God, and
God sends upon them 360 tajjaliyat, and one tajjali burns
seven great sins. If these people knew that the
representative of Imam Mehdi has a habal attached to his
heart, and sitting next to him burns several hundred great
sins, then they would appreciate the company of the
representative of Imam Mehdi. To make it easier to
understand, saints were attached with one habal from Allah,
but the dignitaries of Imam Mehdi are attached with seven
habal. Those who sat in the company of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh)
are known are companions of the Prophet. No matter how great
a worshipper you are, you cannot ever be equal to the
companions of the Prophet (s), because the companions were
under the special sight of God with the Prophet (s). All of
the companions of the Prophet went for the pilgrimage of
Hajj, they were Musaleen and they also observed Soum, Salat,
Zakaat etc. but this did not become their identity. Because
if you are in salaat, are observing fast, offering hajj,
there is no guarantee that these can burn even one of the
great sins, but they sat in the companion of Prophet
Mohammad (s) and their great sins were burnt. Those who sat
in the company of Prophet Mohammad (s) have gone back to
their respective places, earning a greater status than the
saints. Now, the question is whose company is greater?
Mohammad Rasool Allah’s company is the greatest, because the
merciful sight of God was non-stop on the Prophet (s), the
merciful sight of God was not constant on any other
Prophet. The greatest companionship is that of Prophet
Mohammad (s) because the merciful sight of God is upon him
constantly.
Now, remains the matter
regarding Imam Mehdi. All the messengers were connected to
God through that one habal, and through that one habal they
were under the merciful glance. Imam Mehdi said, “One habal
comes down from Allah onto Earth, and all the saints were
connected with one habal, and seven habal are going upwards
from me (Gohar Shahi) to Allah”. On one side, Imam Mehdi is
giving his spiritual grace to God through seven ropes, and
on one side if you are connected to his heart, then you also
become the recipient to the spiritual grace that Allah is
receiving. Humans are now given the spiritual grace (in the
same intensity and quality) that is given to God.
Ali was the lion of God, not because he was a
Mussali, but because he was in the company of Prophet
Mohammad (s) more than anyone.
یک زمانہ صحبت با اولیاء ، بہتر از صد سالہ
طاعت بےریا۔
What was obtained from
the company of the Prophet (s) and the saints? The Divine
Theophanies (تجلیاتِ
الہی) were obtained from the
company of the Prophet and the saints. If they sat in the
company for a minute, they’d burn probably 7 great sins, and
if 10 minutes, then probably 70 sins, and then when all the
sins are burnt, then the company will begin to increase the
love of the Prophet and strengthen your faith in your heart.
The progress of your faith is not dependent on the quantity
of quality of your worship. The quality of the faith and
intensity of love is directly proportional on the company of
the Prophet. In this company, in one moment, 49 great sins
are burnt, what would be the intensity in the company of
Imam Mehdi. And what if the sub-spirit of Imam Mehdi settles
into your heart? Nothing more can be said.
Question:
جب ولیوں کے مقبرے پر تجلیات پڑتی ہے تو محمد
رسول اللہ کے مقبرے پربھی پڑتی ہو گی، پھر اُن کے مقبرے سے
لوگوں کے نفوس کیوں نہیں پاک ہوے۔
If theophany falls upon the grave of a kamil
zaat (perfect spiritual guide - one who dispenses his
spiritual grace to the seekers in life and after demise
equally), then Prophet Mohammad is greater than everybody
else, so the theophany must fall on his grave too, in that
case, why people who stay inside that mosque, their nafoos
aren’t purified and their sins not burnt away?
The answer is, spiritual theophanies didn’t
fall upon the grave of Prophet Mohammad (s) so as to make
the company of the Prophet exclusive to the companions of
the Prophet. Spiritual benevolence could have been reaped
from the grave of the Prophet, but God decided not to,
instead provided the spiritual theophanies and benevolence
that are reaped after the death of a saint, from their
graves. Hence, those who even lived in the mosque in which
the grave of the Prophet lies didn’t purify their nafoos or
enlighten their hearts.
