As when the body recovers from an illness, food supplements are taken to boost up the energy level in the body, similarly when the heart is cured from spiritual disease, one needs to shun his/her desires to fulfil the desires of the Spiritual Master. One must demolish the idol of ego.

What one loves the most differs from person to person. To some people their wives are dearer than anything else. Some others love their children the most. And some others love money the most. And there are some people to whom their ego is dearer than their wives, their children, their wealth and all else.

The only barrier between the Lord and the servant is the ego, so as soon as the ego is broken, the veils of indifference are lifted, and Love settles in the core of the heart.
